Green agenda
I would like to see a green agenda for the 2007 year. In light of environmental concerns, perhaps we can think of ways our libraries can partner with the surrounding communities to encourage recycling and conservation. With looming global warming and an energy crisis, perhaps we can pool our collective minds and research talents to offer some solutions!

I agree. Libraries, particularly public & academic are in a unique highly visible position to propose & help sustain a green agenda. One idea: Campaign for new, less polluting buses or, upgrading ("retrofitting")old diesel vehicles such as school buses. Public library systems that still utilize bookmobiles (Ex. Hillsborough County system) would be a nudge for other agencies.
