New Associate Director for Collections & Technical Services at the UCF Libraries
The University of Central Florida (UCF) Libraries is happy to announce the arrival of Mary Page, who joins the Libraries faculty as Associate Director for Collections & Technical Services on August 9, 2010.
Page received her MLS degree from Rutgers University where she also served in a variety of librarian positions for 19 years. Most recently employed as Assistant University Librarian for Technical Services at the University of California -Davis Library, Page brings with her extensive experience in all aspects of technical services, including acquisitions, serials, collection management and collection development. Among the many leadership positions and service activities in which Page has been involved are the Ingenta Library Advisory Board, the National Academy of Sciences. Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. Library Advisory Board, and past president of The North American Serials Interest Group (NASIG). She currently serves as a Director-At-Large for the Association for Library Collections & Technical Service, Board of Directors. She was also a guest editor and writer for Against the Grain and other professional publications.
Mary Page is filling the position vacated when Jeannette Ward, the first Associate Director for Collections & Technical Services at the UCF Libraries, retired in July 2007.
