April 11 - 22, 2011 -- Virtual Job Shadowing

Do you want to learn about the work that people do in libraries? You and others in your library can follow library staff on Twitter with tag #libjobshadowFL during April 11-22, 2011.

Eighteen members of the Florida Library Association will each share a workday in a Virtual Job Shadowing project using Twitter. See the Project Facebook page for a list of the people and the dates they have selected for sharing their workdays. Library staff from different parts of Florida will Tweet for one day to share what they do. You will find people who assist students, help parents or seniors, create programs for the community, promote and publicize library activities, and more. During the project you will be able to follow the messages through:

The FLA Virtual Job Shadowing Project is coordinated by the Florida Library Association Library Personnel Recruitment Committee. For more information, please contact Lois Albertson at training@seflin.org or 877-733-5460 ext 224.
