USF SOLIS Hosts Future of Libraries Panel
ALA Executive Director Keith Michael Fiels headlines a five-person panel discussing the future of libraries hosted by the Student Organizations of Library & Information Science (SOLIS) at USF's School of Information (SI). We have seen great changes in the library world over the last few years. Budgets have tightened with the economy in turmoil and customers are increasingly using the internet and Google for their informational needs. Do libraries and librarians have a future in this new world? What changes should we make to fit this new world? The panel will touch on these questions and many more during the last SOLIS After-Dark Lecture for the spring 2011 semester.
